Uhunmwode Chairman Felicitates Oba Ewuare II On Birthday, 10th Coronation Anniversary
The Executive Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Edo State, Hon. Austin Imafidon (Isiwina), has congratulated the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku’Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, on his birthday and the 10th anniversary of his coronation on the revered throne of the Benin Kingdom.
Imafidon, in a congratulatory message, joined Benin sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the monarch, expressing gratitude to Almighty God for granting him wisdom, protection and strength throughout his decade on the throne.
The council chairman described Oba Ewuare II’s reign as a symbol of tradition, dignity, unity, peace and cultural identity, noting that the monarch’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the Benin Kingdom remained a source of pride to his subjects.
He reaffirmed his respect for the traditional institution and pledged to continue to uphold the monarch’s counsel and guidance in the interest of peace, unity and development across the kingdom.
According to him, Uhunmwode Local Government Area occupies a historic and strategic position within the Benin Kingdom, adding that his administration would continue to respect, protect and promote the traditional values and cultural heritage that unite the people.
Imafidon also acknowledged the importance of the Oba’s fatherly leadership in sustaining the kingdom’s cultural identity and fostering harmonious relationships among its people.
He prayed for God’s continued protection over the monarch, wishing him long life, sound health, abundant wisdom and strength to continue providing leadership and guidance to the Benin people.
The council chairman further joined other Benin sons and daughters in celebrating the monarch and paying tribute to the illustrious ancestors of the kingdom on the historic occasion.
He wished Oba Ewuare II a happy birthday and congratulated him on the 10th anniversary of his coronation, expressing hope for many more years of peaceful and fruitful reign.
The 10th coronation anniversary, commemorating the monarch’s ascension to the throne in 2016, is being celebrated in 2026.
