Oyarekwa Felix Urges Akoko-Edo Constituency 2 To Demand Accountability Ahead Of 2027
Dr. Austine Oyarekwa Felix has called on the people of Akoko-Edo Constituency 2 to become more active in determining the political and developmental future of the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oyarekwa Felix made the call in a message titled, “The Future Belongs to Those Who Know Where They Belong,” in which he urged constituents to use the emerging political season to ask questions, demand accountability and assess the performance of those seeking to represent them.
According to him, the approach of the 2027 elections provides an opportunity for the people to critically examine the quality of representation they have received and determine the kind of leadership they want going forward.
He stressed that Akoko-Edo Constituency 2 should not remain on the sidelines while opportunities for development pass by, noting that the people deserve effective representation, meaningful development, better opportunities and stronger advocacy.
Oyarekwa Felix further advocated a shift from political promises and slogans to measurable results, urging constituents to become active participants in the democratic process rather than spectators.
He said the responsibility for demanding better leadership should not be left to others, emphasizing the need for the people to organize, participate in the electoral process and hold elected representatives accountable.
“The future cannot be postponed until 2030. The work must begin now,” he stated, while emphasizing that the time for action is now.
Oyarekwa Felix maintained that Akoko-Edo Constituency 2 deserves better representation and urged the people to collectively demand the leadership and development they desire.
