NDC For Nigeria Movement National Convener Rita Set To Visit Rivers
The National Convener of the NDC for Nigeria Movement, Hon. Madam Rita, is expected in Rivers State on Friday, September 18, 2026, as the movement steps up engagements with its members and stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to an official invitation issued by the Rivers State chapter of the movement, the National Convener will hold a special engagement with party leaders, members, supporters and other stakeholders at the NDC Rivers State Party Secretariat, No. 78 Aba Road, opposite Government Craft Center, Port Harcourt.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for the movement's leadership to interact with its grassroots structure, strengthen internal coordination and discuss strategies for deeper mobilisation across the state.
The engagement will also feature an interaction between the National Convener and the Rivers State leadership and members of the movement, during which she is expected to share her vision for building a stronger and more united organisation.
The Rivers State NDC has in recent months intensified its organisational activities ahead of the 2027 elections, including strategic meetings focused on strengthening coordination across the party structure and expanding grassroots mobilisation. State Chairman Hon. Success Jack has previously emphasised the importance of building the party's presence across communities, wards, clans and local government areas.
The NDC has also continued public activities in the state as part of its preparations for the 2027 elections, with the party's Rivers leadership participating in political and mobilisation initiatives across the state.
The September 18 engagement will be hosted by Comrade Amamina Solomon Ayotamuno, State Coordinator of the NDC for Nigeria Movement, Rivers State, while Hon. Success Jack, State Chairman of the NDC Rivers State, will serve as Chief Host.
Hon. John Ose, State Secretary of the NDC for Nigeria Movement, Rivers State, is listed as the announcer for the event.
The organisers have called on leaders, members, supporters and well-wishers of the NDC for Nigeria Movement across Rivers State to attend the engagement and welcome the National Convener.
The event is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the NDC Rivers State Party Secretariat on Aba Road, Port Harcourt.
