Aiguobarueghian Commissions Six-Classroom Block, Facilities In Ovia, Reaffirms Commitment To Constituency Development
The Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian, has continued to demonstrate his commitment to grassroots development with the commissioning of a remodelled six-classroom block and offices at Ekiadolor Secondary School, Iguedaiken, Ovia North East Local Government Area.
The project, initiated and facilitated by Aiguobarueghian for the people of Adolo Ward, also includes the construction of a perimeter fence with gates and the provision of three-seater desks and chairs capable of accommodating about 300 students.
The commissioning is scheduled for today, September 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
The intervention underscores Aiguobarueghian’s emphasis on practical, people-oriented development, particularly in education and community infrastructure.
With his record of legislative service at the Edo State House of Assembly, Aiguobarueghian has built experience in lawmaking, oversight and budget advocacy. His supporters believe this experience places him in a strong position to provide effective representation and attract meaningful development to Ovia Federal Constituency.
His development agenda focuses on addressing some of the longstanding challenges confronting communities across Ovia, including infrastructure, youth unemployment, agricultural development, healthcare, electricity and access to quality education.
Among the priorities associated with his proposed agenda are improved federal road infrastructure, ICT and skills-development opportunities, stronger support for farmers, upgraded healthcare facilities, rural electrification, scholarships for students, youth empowerment programmes and grants and support for small businesses and market operators.
Aiguobarueghian has also pledged to promote an accessible and accountable style of representation, with regular engagement with traditional rulers, youths, women, community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of the various wards and communities receive attention.
The latest intervention at Ekiadolor Secondary School is therefore being presented by his supporters as another demonstration of his approach to development—identifying pressing community needs and working towards practical solutions.
As he seeks to represent Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027, Aiguobarueghian’s campaign is anchored on the promise of continuity, effective representation and a new path of progress for the people of Ovia.
His supporters maintain that his legislative experience and grassroots engagement have adequately prepared him for the responsibilities of federal representation.
