Okpebholo @ 56: Agbonavbare Celebrates Edo Governor, Hails His Leadership, Development Strides

As Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, marks his 56th birthday today, the APC Student Coordinator in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Comrade Favour Agbonavbare, has congratulated the governor, describing him as a pragmatic, proactive and purposeful leader committed to the development of Edo State.

In a birthday message, Agbonavbare commended Governor Okpebholo for what he described as his determination to provide practical solutions to the challenges confronting the people while advancing the state's development agenda.

Born on August 29, 1970, Governor Okpebholo is a businessman and politician from Edo State. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Abuja and previously served as the Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District before emerging as governor of Edo State in the 2024 governorship election. He was sworn into office on November 12, 2024.

Since assuming office, his administration has placed emphasis on security, infrastructure, human-capital development, education and public-service reforms. Government and independent reports have particularly highlighted road and infrastructure projects, including the Ramat Park Flyover, alongside efforts to improve security and service delivery across the state.

Agbonavbare said the governor's approach to governance has demonstrated a desire to translate government policies into tangible benefits for residents, noting that the administration's focus on infrastructure and other critical sectors has continued to attract attention.

He described Okpebholo's leadership as one driven by courage, vision and a strong sense of responsibility to the people, expressing confidence that the governor would continue to build on the progress recorded by his administration.

“Today, I celebrate a pragmatic, proactive and purposeful leader, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, on the occasion of his spectacular birthday.

“Your administration continues to demonstrate a commitment to practical governance and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Edo State. Your leadership, courage and vision remain worthy of commendation as you work toward building a better and more prosperous Edo,” Agbonavbare said.

The APC Student Coordinator further praised the governor for providing opportunities for young people to participate in the development process, while urging Edo residents, particularly young people, to continue supporting initiatives aimed at advancing the state.

Agbonavbare said Governor Okpebholo's birthday provides an opportunity not only to celebrate his personal milestone but also to acknowledge his journey from the private sector and the National Assembly to the highest political office in Edo State.

He prayed for God's continued guidance, wisdom, sound health and strength for the governor as he leads the state.

“May God Almighty grant you wisdom, strength, sound health and many more years of impactful service to our dear state and nation.
