Nwedu Commends Nwifuru's Security Initiatives, Says Ebonyi Has Become A Model of Peace and Stability
Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue (EBSIRS), has commended the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for what he described as the administration's unwavering commitment to strengthening peace, security, and public safety across the state.
In a statement made available to journalists, Nwedu said Governor Nwifuru has continued to demonstrate purposeful leadership by placing the protection of lives and property at the centre of his administration's People's Charter of Needs agenda.
According to him, the governor recognised from the outset that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and security, leading to sustained investments in initiatives aimed at safeguarding communities and promoting social stability.
He noted that the prevailing peaceful environment has enhanced public confidence, encouraged commercial activities, and created a more conducive atmosphere for businesses and investors to operate within the state.
Nwedu also praised the administration's investment in road and bridge infrastructure, stating that improved connectivity between urban and rural communities has enhanced access for security agencies, facilitated emergency response, and strengthened collaboration between security personnel and local communities in tackling criminal activities.
He observed that the expansion of transport infrastructure has contributed to opening up previously difficult-to-access areas, thereby supporting security operations and improving the movement of people and goods across the state.
According to Nwedu, the administration's emphasis on peace, security, and infrastructure development has created an environment that supports agriculture, education, commerce, and other critical sectors of the state's economy.
He further stated that Governor Nwifuru's leadership has inspired confidence among residents and stakeholders, describing peace and security as essential foundations for sustainable growth and socio-economic development.
Nwedu prayed for God's continued wisdom, strength, and good health for Governor Nwifuru as he continues to implement policies and programmes aimed at promoting peace, security, and the overall development of Ebonyi State.
