Revived Ebonyi Pipe Production Factory Resumes Operations After Over A Decade Of Abandonment

The Ebonyi State Government has recorded another milestone in its industrialisation drive as the Ebonyi State Pipe Production Factory located in Izhiangbo resumes full production activities after more than ten years of abandonment.

The development came to light during a routine inspection tour of ongoing projects across the state by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation, Dr. Boniface Nwankwo, over the weekend.
According to Dr. Nwankwo, the factory, which had remained dormant for over a decade, was revived by the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as part of efforts to promote industrial growth, create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic development in Ebonyi State.

He noted that the inspection team witnessed active production sessions at the facility, with machines fully operational and workers engaged in the manufacturing process.

“During the routine inspection of ongoing projects across the state, we visited the Ebonyi State Pipe Production Factory in Izhiangbo and documented its production activities. The sights and sounds from the facility clearly demonstrate the commitment of the Nwifuru administration to reviving moribund industries and repositioning the state for economic prosperity,” he stated.

The revival of the pipe production factory is expected to boost local production capacity, reduce dependence on imported materials, and provide jobs for youths and skilled workers within the state and beyond.

Observers have described the development as another significant achievement under Governor Nwifuru’s industrialisation agenda and a practical demonstration of his administration’s commitment to sustainable economic transformation.
