Nwifuru Congratulates Tinubu On APC Presidential Ticket, Describes Victory As Historic
Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s presidential primary election held on Saturday.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor, Governor Nwifuru described Tinubu’s emergence as a historic political milestone that reaffirms his dominance and enduring influence in Nigeria’s political landscape.
The governor stated that President Tinubu has, over the years, built a formidable political structure across the six geopolitical zones of the country, while nurturing leaders, strengthening democratic institutions, and redefining political organization in Nigeria through courage, consistency, and strategic leadership.
According to him, Tinubu remains one of the few political figures whose sacrifices during the struggle for democracy have continued to shape modern Nigeria’s democratic journey.
Governor Nwifuru noted that the President stood firmly for democratic freedom during some of the country’s most turbulent political periods, adding that his contributions to nation-building and democratic governance remain remarkable.
He further described Tinubu as “not merely a politician, but a movement, a national institution, and a symbol of political resilience whose name has become permanently engraved in the history of democratic governance in Nigeria.”
The governor added that future generations would remember the President as a political icon who dedicated his life to building national unity, empowering emerging leaders, and sustaining democratic values across the country.
Governor Nwifuru also disclosed that the people of Ebonyi State overwhelmingly supported President Tinubu during the APC presidential primary election across the 13 local government areas of the state as a demonstration of their appreciation for his visionary leadership and commitment to national development.
The statement reaffirmed the Ebonyi State Government’s continued support for the President and the ideals of the APC.
