Ebonyi Government Advances Construction Of State Veterinary Hospital
The Ebonyi State Government has intensified efforts to strengthen animal healthcare and food safety with the ongoing construction of a modern Veterinary Hospital initiated by Governor Francis Nwifuru.
The facility, which is being developed through a partnership between the Ebonyi State Government and L-PRESS, is designed to provide comprehensive veterinary services, including admission and quarantine sections for sick animals.
According to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation, Boniface Nwankwo, the hospital will play a critical role in improving livestock health management and ensuring the production of healthy animals fit for human consumption upon completion and full activation.
The project is also expected to enhance disease control, boost agricultural development, and support the state’s commitment to improving public health standards through safer animal production practices.
The Ebonyi State Government described the initiative as part of its broader vision to position the state as a leading hub for agricultural and veterinary advancement in Nigeria.
