EBONYI POLITICS: Youth Group Donates N40m, Organizations Declare Support For Nwifuru’s Second Term
In a significant political development in Ebonyi State, the FON Youth Mobilization has made a notable contribution toward the re-election bid of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, presenting a cheque of ₦40 million in support of his anticipated second-term ambition.
The gesture, described by observers as unprecedented in the state’s political history, comes amid growing endorsements for the governor ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Speaking during the presentation, party stakeholders reiterated the position of the state leadership, emphasizing that there would be no internal contest for the governorship ticket. According to the state party chairman, the governorship form for 2027 remains exclusively reserved, signaling a unified front in support of Governor Nwifuru’s continuation in office.
In a related development, the MSL Foundation, in conjunction with the People’s Charter of Needs, has formally declared its support for the governor’s second-term agenda. The groups endorsed the “4+4=8” continuity framework, expressing confidence in the administration’s policies and developmental strides.
Founder of the MSL Foundation and Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Mbam Stanley Lebechi, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to mobilizing grassroots support for the governor, noting that the administration’s performance has justified calls for continuity.
Supporters maintain that the consolidation of backing from youth groups, civil society organizations, and political stakeholders signals a strengthening political base for Governor Nwifuru as the next election cycle approaches.
“It can only get better,” Lebechi stated, expressing optimism about the future of governance in Ebonyi State under the current leadership.
