Uwaifo Urges Owan West Residents To Verify Voter Registration, Collect PVCs

Barr. Aifegha N. Uwaifo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Owan West State Constituency in Edo State, has urged residents of the constituency to take advantage of the ongoing voters’ register display and Permanent Voter Card (PVC) distribution exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Uwaifo stressed the importance of voter registration verification, encouraging eligible voters to confirm their names and personal details on the voters’ register and collect their PVCs where available.

He noted that active participation in the democratic process begins with proper voter registration and adequate preparation ahead of elections.

According to him, eligible voters should not wait until election day before discovering errors or discrepancies in their registration details, emphasising the need to address any issues promptly during the exercise.

He further maintained that an informed and prepared electorate remains fundamental to the conduct of credible elections and the strengthening of democratic governance.

Uwaifo called on residents of Owan West to demonstrate their commitment to the democratic process by taking the exercise seriously and ensuring that their voter registration details are accurate.

He urged the people to remain vigilant and proactive in fulfilling their civic responsibilities, noting that every eligible voter's participation contributes to shaping the future of the constituency.

Reaffirming his message to the people, the NDC candidate declared: “Owan West Deserves Better!”
