The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Dr. Gisaor made this known on Saturday, October 10, 2026, while featuring on On the Line, a public affairs programme on Radio Benue 95.0 FM, where he discussed his journey in public service, the performance of the current administrations at the federal and state levels, and other issues of public interest.
Assessing the administration of President Tinubu, the FHA Executive Director called on Nigerians to support the President's continuity agenda, stressing the importance of consolidating ongoing policies and programmes for sustained national development.

On Governor Alia's administration, Dr. Gisaor commended the governor for what he described as significant achievements across various sectors of Benue State. He urged residents to reject bitterness and embrace issue-based politics, noting that the performance of any administration should be evaluated based on tangible results rather than political rhetoric.
He also advised the electorate to carefully examine the antecedents, track records and contributions of all governorship aspirants ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the people of Benue State should make informed electoral decisions based on verifiable records of service, competence and contributions to the state's development.

Dr. Gisaor further challenged those aspiring to govern the state against Governor Alia to present their records of service and demonstrate what they had contributed to the development of Benue State, insisting that the electorate deserved clear evidence of their capacity to lead.

The FHA Executive Director also called on political appointees and relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts to encourage eligible citizens to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

He stressed that voter participation remains essential to the democratic process, urging political stakeholders to ensure that eligible citizens are adequately encouraged to exercise their civic responsibilities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Highlights Achievements in Office

Speaking on his journey since assuming office, Dr. Gisaor highlighted several interventions and initiatives undertaken within his first two months as Executive Director.

Among these, he disclosed that he had facilitated the appointment of 11 personnel to his payroll and visited tertiary institutions across Benue State to explore partnerships for the implementation of a housing scheme.

He also mentioned the inspection of the Federal Housing Authority Estate at North Bank, Makurdi, as well as his intervention in the crisis affecting the FHA Estate along the Makurdi–Gboko Road.

According to him, the intervention was aimed at resolving outstanding issues and facilitating the return of contractors to the project site to ensure that work could resume.

Dr. Gisaor further disclosed that he had facilitated the transfer of service of three individuals to the federal level within two months of assuming office, alongside other initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and advancing development.

Calls for Prayers, Peace and Unity

Acknowledging the challenges associated with public service, Dr. Gisaor expressed confidence that the obstacles confronting him were surmountable, maintaining that his faith in God remained a source of strength.
He appealed to the people of Benue State to continue praying for him to succeed in his assignment, while urging residents to promote peace, love and unity across the state and the country.

The FHA Executive Director emphasised the need for collective efforts to bridge divisions and foster peaceful coexistence, describing unity as essential to political stability and sustainable development.

He expressed optimism that sustained political mobilisation, unity and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) would strengthen the party's prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.
