Udebhulu Urges Edo Diasporans To Support Tinubu, Okpebholo For Sustainable Development
Prince Kelly Udebhulu, Secretary of the Edo State APC Diaspora Subcommittee, has called on Edo indigenes living abroad to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, saying stronger cooperation between the Federal Government and the state would accelerate development across Edo State.
Udebhulu made the call while speaking on political cooperation, diaspora engagement and the need for collective efforts toward the socio-economic development of Edo State.
He said constructive collaboration between the state government and the Federal Government would create an enabling environment for increased infrastructure development, investment, employment opportunities and economic growth.
According to him, the administration of President Tinubu remains focused on advancing Nigeria’s development, while Governor Okpebholo’s agenda provides an opportunity for Edo State to benefit from closer alignment with the Federal Government.
Udebhulu therefore encouraged Edo indigenes in the diaspora to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid and also rally behind Governor Okpebholo’s development agenda, stressing that their collective support could contribute significantly to the progress of the state.
He urged Edo indigenes across Europe, America, Africa, Asia and other parts of the world to remain actively engaged in the affairs of their home state and deploy their professional networks, expertise, investments and other resources toward its development.
The APC Diaspora Subcommittee secretary also called for greater unity among Edo diasporans ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that political differences should not be allowed to undermine the collective interest of the people.
He stressed that the primary objective should be to build a more prosperous Edo State while contributing to the broader development of Nigeria.
“Our priority should be development. A productive relationship between Edo State and the Federal Government will create more opportunities for our people and strengthen the foundation for sustainable progress,” Udebhulu said.
He further emphasized the importance of diaspora participation in governance and development, noting that Edo indigenes abroad possess valuable knowledge, experience, connections and resources that can complement government efforts to improve the lives of citizens at home.
