OSR Unveils ‘People, Progress, Development 2027’ Agenda For Oredo
Hon. Osazee Richard, popularly known as OSR, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Oredo Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, has outlined a people-centred development agenda anchored on three key pillars: People First, Progress for All, and Development 2027.
The agenda sets out his proposed vision for representation at the National Assembly, with emphasis on addressing the needs of residents, promoting inclusive development, and advancing initiatives aimed at improving living standards across Oredo Federal Constituency in Edo State.
Under the theme People, Progress, Development 2027, OSR's proposed programme is built around the principle that governance should prioritise the welfare of citizens and ensure that public resources and democratic institutions deliver tangible benefits to communities.
The first pillar, People First, is driven by the slogan, "Power to the People, Service to the Community."
It emphasises the importance of placing the interests of ordinary residents at the centre of legislative representation. The proposed priorities include improved access to healthcare, quality education, youth empowerment, women's inclusion, and support for artisans, traders, and small business owners.
The agenda also highlights the importance of listening to constituents, identifying their most pressing needs, and ensuring that their concerns inform legislative priorities and engagement with relevant government institutions.
The second pillar, Progress for All, carries the message, "Moving Oredo Forward, Together."
It focuses on inclusive development and measurable improvements in the living conditions of residents. Areas identified for attention include road infrastructure, functional public services, job creation, support for small businesses, and transparent and accountable representation at the National Assembly.
The pillar further underscores the need to ensure that communities across Oredo benefit from development initiatives, regardless of their location or socioeconomic circumstances.
Through this approach, OSR seeks to position effective representation as a means of amplifying Oredo's interests in national discussions, promoting equitable access to opportunities, and pursuing interventions that respond to the constituency's development needs.
The third pillar, Development 2027, is anchored on the slogan, "A New Vision, A Better Oredo."
It outlines a broader development framework focused on infrastructure renewal, human capital development, digital and economic empowerment, stronger healthcare services, and community-driven projects.
Transparency, accountability, and the effective use of public resources are also central to the proposed framework, with an emphasis on ensuring that development initiatives produce visible and sustainable benefits for residents.
The agenda presents the 2027 election as an opportunity for constituents to assess the priorities and proposals of candidates seeking to represent them at the House of Representatives.
If elected, OSR would be expected to advance the constituency's interests through legislative advocacy, constituency engagement, and collaboration with relevant government agencies and stakeholders to pursue projects and programmes that address local needs.
His campaign's central message is that representation should extend beyond election promises to sustained engagement with constituents and the pursuit of practical solutions to the challenges facing their communities.
OSR is seeking the mandate of voters in Oredo Federal Constituency under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 general election.
