Orugbo Youths Pledge Support For Michael Merogun’s Warri South Constituency 1 Ambition

Youths of Orugbo Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State have pledged their total support for Dr. Michael Merogun’s ambition to represent Warri South Constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly.

The youths made the pledge during a courtesy visit to Dr. Merogun, where they expressed confidence in his leadership qualities, commitment to youth development and passion for grassroots transformation.

They said their decision to support his aspiration was informed by their assessment of his antecedents and dedication to community development, describing him as a candidate capable of addressing the concerns and aspirations of young people in the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the youths’ leader said the community was ready to support a candidate who understands the challenges confronting young people and is committed to providing practical solutions.

“We are tired of old stories; we need a youth who understands the struggles of the youth. Dr. Michael Merogun is that youth. We, the youths of Orugbo, stand with him 100 per cent,” the leader said.

Responding, Dr. Merogun thanked the youths for their confidence and show of solidarity, assuring them that he would not take their support for granted.

He identified youth empowerment, education and infrastructural development as key priorities of his legislative ambition, promising to work towards initiatives that would improve opportunities for young people and promote development across Warri South Constituency 1 if elected.

The visit adds to the campaign activities of the Dr. Michael Merogun Grassroots Movement as it continues to engage communities and mobilise support for his aspiration ahead of the 2027 elections.
