Edoror, Former Lawmakers Endorse Tinubu Ahead Of APC Campaign Flag-Off

Rt. Hon. Engr. Chief Victor Sabor Edoror, National Deputy Chairman of the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, has joined former lawmakers and political stakeholders in Kaduna to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

The endorsement took place on Friday, October 23, 2026, during a gathering of former legislators at Hassan Katsina Hall, Kaduna, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for Saturday, October 24.

Edoror, who represents Edo State as Honourable Federal Commissioner at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), participated in the gathering alongside prominent political figures, including the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.), and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

The former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly was seen exchanging pleasantries with party leaders and other stakeholders, while also engaging in discussions with key political figures at the event.

The meeting provided an opportunity for former lawmakers and political leaders to deliberate on political engagement, grassroots mobilisation and strategies for consolidating support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The gathering was part of the political activities preceding the APC's presidential campaign launch in Kaduna, which the party selected as the starting point of its nationwide mobilisation for Tinubu's second-term bid.

The Forum of Former Presiding Officers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria brings together former legislative leaders whose experience spans state-level lawmaking and political administration. Edoror's participation reflected his continued engagement with political stakeholders beyond Edo State.

With the 2027 general elections approaching, political consultations and endorsements have continued to feature prominently in party activities as politicians and groups begin to mobilise support for their preferred candidates.

The Kaduna event therefore marked another gathering of political stakeholders seeking to build alliances and strengthen their respective political structures ahead of the next electoral cycle.
