Nwifuru Ends Years of Neglect As Construction Begins on Nwandugo Road In Ebonyi — Nwedu
History is being made in Nwandugo, Ebonyi State, as the construction of Nwandugo Road gets underway, ending years of neglect and bringing renewed hope to residents of the area.
For the people of Nwandugo, the ongoing road construction represents a significant milestone, as it is described as the first time a government has undertaken the development of the road.
The development has been attributed to the commitment of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prnc. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, whose administration has continued to emphasise rural development through its People's Charter of Needs policy.
Speaking on the development, Nwedu A. Nwedu, a Board Member of the Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), commended Governor Nwifuru for breaking the longstanding neglect of Nwandugo Road and bringing renewed hope to the people.
The ongoing project is expected to ease the difficulties faced by residents, improve accessibility and enhance connectivity within the community, while opening up opportunities for social and economic development.
For years, the people of Nwandugo have endured the challenges associated with the neglect of the road. The commencement of construction has therefore generated optimism among residents, who see the intervention as a demonstration of the government's commitment to addressing the needs of rural communities.
Nwedu described the development as a reflection of the governor's compassionate leadership, noting that the intervention demonstrates an understanding of the challenges confronting rural dwellers and the importance of providing infrastructure that directly addresses their needs.
He also emphasised the significance of the People's Charter of Needs, an initiative of the Nwifuru administration designed to bring governance closer to the people by prioritising their needs and improving their living conditions.
According to him, the ongoing construction of Nwandugo Road reinforces the belief that the People's Charter of Needs is a blessing to the people of Ebonyi State, particularly rural communities that have long awaited government attention.
With construction underway, the people of Nwandugo have renewed reasons to look forward to improved infrastructure and a brighter future.
The development further strengthens the administration's commitment to rural development under the leadership of Governor Nwifuru, popularly associated with the slogans, Where There Is Fon, There Is Hope and Ometekenteke Governor.
