Eseigbe Takes Priority Needs Assessment Tour To Ugbegun, Ebudin

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Sir Lucky Eseigbe, has continued his priority needs assessment tour across communities in Edo State, engaging residents of Ugbegun and Ebudin in Ward 10, Esan Central Local Government Area.

The visit provided an opportunity for residents to highlight their developmental challenges and identify areas requiring attention ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The tour began with a royal visit to the palace of the Onogie of Ugbegun, His Royal Highness, Zaiki S. I. Obade II (JP), who received the APC candidate and his entourage.

In his remarks, the traditional ruler recalled his longstanding relationship with Eseigbe, describing him as someone who values truth, progress and the collective interest of the people.

“Eseigbe is a man I have known for a long time. He is a good man who always stands for the betterment of all,” the monarch said, expressing confidence in the candidate's commitment to the welfare and development of the people.

From the palace, the delegation proceeded to a town hall meeting with residents of Ugbegun and Ebudin, where community members outlined their pressing needs and developmental concerns.

The meeting featured discussions on possible solutions to the challenges raised, with emphasis on the importance of grassroots consultation in identifying community priorities and shaping development initiatives.

Residents turned out in large numbers to welcome the candidate, with singing and dancing forming part of the reception. They also expressed appreciation for the opportunity to interact directly with someone seeking to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

Addressing the gathering, Eseigbe said the assessment tour was designed to enable him to listen directly to residents, understand their challenges and identify areas requiring urgent intervention.

He described the concerns raised by the communities as important and potentially addressable through collective responsibility, effective representation and sustained collaboration. He also called on residents to continue supporting the administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo and other APC candidates.

During the engagement, residents of Ugbegun pledged their support for Eseigbe's 2027 House of Representatives ambition, assuring him of their backing at the polls.

In response, the APC candidate urged the people to remain united and committed to the development of their communities. He assured them that the concerns documented during the visit would receive due attention as efforts continued to address their developmental priorities.

The visit forms part of Eseigbe's ongoing priority needs assessment tour, which seeks to establish direct communication with communities, document their expectations and identify development priorities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
