Esan West APC Rally Highlights Party Organisation, Preparations For 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State has reaffirmed its commitment to party unity, grassroots mobilisation and preparations for the 2027 general elections during a gathering attended by Governor Monday Okpebholo and other party leaders.

The event provided an opportunity for party stakeholders to demonstrate their organisational structures, engage supporters and express appreciation for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Okpebholo, while reaffirming their support for the party's candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Speaking at the gathering, the Executive Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Blessing Ebhodaghe, popularly known as BB, said the people of the area were prepared to demonstrate their support for the APC through massive votes in the 2027 general elections.

He highlighted the contributions of President Tinubu, Governor Okpebholo, Senator Joseph Ikpea, Barrister Lucky Esiegbe and Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu, urging party members and supporters to sustain their engagement across communities and wards.

Ebhodaghe's remarks reflected the position of the local APC leadership, which views grassroots participation, political coordination and sustained engagement as essential elements of its preparations for the forthcoming elections.

Also speaking, the Edo State APC Deputy Chairman and Edo State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Amb. Sylvester Aigboboh, commended Governor Okpebholo for what he described as purposeful leadership and efforts to translate development aspirations into tangible results.

Aigboboh expressed confidence in the party's ability to consolidate its structures across Esanland, attributing the gathering to a shared commitment among stakeholders to the development agenda of President Tinubu and the state government's priorities.

He also called for sustained cooperation among party leaders, candidates and grassroots supporters to strengthen mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.

The governor's visit offered party members an opportunity to assess their level of coordination and reinforce relationships among stakeholders. The gathering also highlighted the importance of effective communication, ward-level engagement and the identification of operational gaps as part of preparations for the 2027 polls.

A major highlight of the event was Governor Okpebholo's commendation of Senator Joseph Ikpea for his contributions and commitment to legislative responsibilities at the National Assembly.

The governor's remarks underscored the role of elected representatives in connecting their constituencies with government programmes and addressing the needs of their people.

The introduction of the party's candidates, including President Tinubu, Senator Ikpea, Barrister Lucky Esiegbe and Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu, was greeted with expressions of enthusiasm from supporters at the gathering.

For APC stakeholders in Esan West, the event served as an opportunity to reinforce party cohesion, strengthen mobilisation networks and renew their commitment to the candidates. However, the extent to which the enthusiasm displayed at the gathering translates into electoral support will ultimately be determined by voters at the polls.

As political activities gradually build towards the 2027 general elections, the APC leadership in Esan West is emphasising grassroots participation, stakeholder collaboration and sustained engagement as key elements of its electoral preparations.

The gathering reinforced the message of unity among party members and their stated determination to mobilise support for the APC across Esan West.

For the organisers and participating stakeholders, Esan West remains a focal point of the party's mobilisation efforts in Edo State, with the 2027 elections presenting an opportunity to test the strength of its political organisation and grassroots outreach.
