DAL Prays For Struggling Families, Calls For Compassionate Leadership
Diepreye Abaye Leghemo (DAL), the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the forthcoming House of Representatives election, has offered prayers for struggling families, parents making sacrifices for their children, and young people seeking opportunities to improve their lives.
In his Sunday message to the people of Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, Leghemo expressed solidarity with families facing economic hardship and the numerous challenges of daily living, noting that many people endure difficult circumstances in silence while remaining hopeful for a better future.
He observed that behind the smiles of many individuals are personal struggles, financial pressures, and the persistent desire to provide for their families and secure a brighter future for their children.
According to him, such struggles deserve not only prayers and encouragement but also genuine concern, understanding, and practical efforts to improve the living conditions of the people.
“My prayer is that God will visit our homes with favour, replace our worries with testimonies, and give our people reasons to smile again,” he said in his Sunday message.
The NDC candidate also prayed for parents who continue to make sacrifices for their children's education and well-being, as well as young people who are earnestly seeking employment, meaningful opportunities, and the chance to change their circumstances.
He expressed hope that the new week would bring renewed strength, divine favour, peace, and fresh opportunities to families across the constituency.
Leghemo further emphasised that his aspiration to represent Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives is rooted in the need for leadership that understands the everyday realities of the people and remains committed to their welfare and aspirations.
He maintained that public service should be driven by empathy, accountability, and a sincere commitment to addressing the concerns of ordinary citizens, particularly families and young people who need greater access to opportunities.
According to him, meaningful representation must go beyond political promises to reflect a genuine understanding of the hopes, challenges, and expectations of the people.
He urged residents to remain hopeful despite their present difficulties, stressing the importance of faith, perseverance, unity, and collective determination in building a better future for their families and communities.
Concluding his message, Leghemo wished the people of Southern Ijaw a peaceful and fulfilling Sunday, praying that God's grace would reach every household, bring comfort to troubled hearts, and turn the struggles of families into testimonies of progress and renewed hope.
“Happy Sunday, my beloved people. May God's grace locate every home and bring peace to every heart,” he added.
