2027: Egefe Calls For Unity Behind DAL In Southern Ijaw
As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, Egefe Peaceful has called on youths, mothers, and fathers across Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency to unite behind Hon. Diepreye Abaye Leghemo (DAL), stressing that collective action is essential to achieving purposeful leadership and sustainable development.
Peaceful observed that although the people of Southern Ijaw have consistently expressed their desire for better leadership, division among them could undermine their collective quest for meaningful representation and lasting development.
He noted that the 2027 elections present another important opportunity for constituents to make informed choices by supporting a candidate who embodies credibility, accessibility, accountability, and a clear commitment to the welfare of the people.
According to him, Leghemo, a successful global entrepreneur, has demonstrated a commitment to improving lives and investing in communities even before seeking public office.
He added that Leghemo's understanding of the challenges confronting the people, as well as their aspirations for a better future, informed his decision to seek election into the House of Representatives.
Peaceful, however, emphasised that the quest for meaningful change requires more than individual commitment, noting that unity among the people remains crucial to achieving their shared goals.
He therefore urged the people of Southern Ijaw to put aside their differences and rally behind Leghemo's aspiration, expressing optimism that collective support could help advance the constituency's development agenda.
He identified sustainable growth, infrastructure development, and human capacity development as critical priorities that require purposeful leadership and a united constituency.
Peaceful maintained that the future of Southern Ijaw depends largely on the decisions its people make at the ballot box, urging eligible voters to support a leadership vision that places their collective interests at the centre of governance.
He concluded with a call for unity and renewed commitment to the development of Southern Ijaw, expressing hope that the 2027 elections would mark a turning point in the constituency's pursuit of progress and prosperity.
