Rev. Keenam Remembers 9/11 Victims, Prays For Peace And Protection In America
As the United States commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Organizer of Nigeria International Day of Prayer Global (NIDOPG), Rev. Gods will Keenam, has expressed solidarity with Americans and prayed for peace, healing and continued protection for the country.
In a message dated September 11, 2026, and issued from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Keenam recalled watching television after returning from work on the morning of the attacks, describing the experience as one that left an enduring impression on him.
He said the 25th anniversary was an opportunity to remember the lives lost, families affected, first responders and other heroes who risked their lives, as well as the resilience displayed by the American people.
“My prayer is that another 9/11 will never happen again,” he said, while praying for God’s protection over America, its homes, schools, leaders and future.
Keenam also prayed for peace to replace fear, unity to overcome division and healing for those who continue to bear the emotional pain of the tragedy.
He assured Americans that they were not alone, stressing that from Nigeria, people continued to stand with them in prayer.
“May God bless America and keep her safe. May He comfort the mourning and strengthen the nation,” he added, quoting Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
