Omoruyi Highlights Constituency Projects In Egor/Ikpoba-Okha
Hon. Murphy Osaro Omoruyi, Member representing Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has highlighted a number of constituency projects aimed at improving infrastructure and addressing basic needs across the constituency.
According to a statement issued by his team, the ongoing interventions include the installation of solar-powered boreholes and streetlights in different communities, alongside the construction of six-classroom blocks, development of a modern market, and provision of ultra-modern bathroom and toilet facilities in markets.
The solar-powered boreholes are aimed at improving access to reliable water supply, particularly in communities where inadequate electricity supply has made conventional water systems difficult to sustain.
The statement explained that the use of solar energy would provide a more dependable and sustainable means of powering the water facilities, thereby helping communities gain improved access to the essential resource.
The ongoing installation of streetlights across the constituency is also expected to improve visibility at night and support economic activities in communities. According to the statement, improved public lighting could also complement broader community safety efforts.
Omoruyi’s team described the interventions as part of a people-centred approach to representation focused on identifying practical challenges and directing constituency resources towards projects capable of delivering tangible benefits to residents.
Other projects highlighted by the team include the construction of six-classroom blocks at various locations, development of a modern market and provision of improved sanitation facilities in markets across the constituency.
The team said the projects demonstrate Omoruyi’s focus on infrastructure and community development, while his supporters have called for continuity in his representation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement further urged residents and supporters who value the continuation of the development initiatives to support Omoruyi’s bid to retain his seat in the House of Representatives under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
