NDC Etsako Central Inaugurates 10 Ward Campaign Committees, Welcomes Bawa, Mathias Aliu

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State has inaugurated campaign committees across all 10 wards in the council, as the party intensifies mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration was held during a meeting attended by the party’s House of Representatives candidate for Etsako Federal Constituency, Hon. Bawa Mohammed Qaleeph, as well as the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Etsako Central Constituency, Hon. Mathias Aliu.

Speaking shortly after the meeting, the NDC Chairman in Etsako Central LGA, Comrade Silvanus Aliu, expressed appreciation to Hon. Bawa for what he described as a historic visit to the local government.

Aliu assured the House of Representatives candidate of the commitment of the NDC leadership and members in Etsako Central to supporting his ambition to represent the Etsako Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

He said the party would continue to strengthen its grassroots structures across the 10 wards in preparation for the 2027 elections.

The NDC chairman also welcomed Hon. Mathias Aliu into the party, describing his decision to join the NDC as a significant development for the people of Etsako Central.

According to him, Aliu's entry into the party would further strengthen the NDC's grassroots mobilisation and provide an opportunity for the people of the constituency to pursue what he described as meaningful political change.

The chairman equally commended the 10 ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, secretaries and other members of the ward leadership for their commitment and steadfastness to the party.

He called for greater unity among members, stressing that a united party structure would be better positioned to achieve its political objectives across Etsako Central, Edo North and Edo State.

Aliu maintained that the strength of the party lies in its unity and grassroots organisation, urging members to remain committed to the collective vision of building a stronger and more prosperous constituency.

The party's Etsako Central LGA Publicity Secretary, Hon. Osilamah Donald, who issued the statement, reaffirmed the commitment of the local government chapter to its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

The NDC has recently unveiled its Edo State National Assembly candidates, with Bawa Muhammed Qaleeph listed as the party's candidate for the Etsako Federal Constituency.

The development comes as political activities and preparations for the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum across Edo State.
