Gisaor Urges AUPCTRE To Embrace Unity, Collaboration For FHA’s Progress
The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Accounts, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has urged members of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Employees (AUPCTRE) to embrace hard work, unity and constructive collaboration with the management of the Authority for improved performance and effective service delivery.
Gisaor made the call at the FHA Headquarters in Abuja when the AUPCTRE Branch Chairman, Comrade Saidu Daniel Hyet, led members of the union on a courtesy visit to the Executive Director following his appointment and resumption of official duties.
The Executive Director stressed the importance of workers belonging to unions through which they could collectively contribute to the growth and development of their organisations.
He, however, cautioned that union activities should be geared towards strengthening the system rather than disrupting its operations.
Gisaor urged members of the union to unite for the right reasons and work constructively with management in the interest of the Authority and its workforce.
He also called on AUPCTRE to support the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the FHA, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, as well as other members of the management team.
According to him, a harmonious relationship between the union and management would enhance the Authority’s ability to deliver effectively on its mandate and improve housing-related services to Nigerians.
On the 2027 general elections, Gisaor urged members of the union to mobilise their members and supporters to support and vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.
He said the President’s re-election would provide an opportunity for his administration to consolidate its achievements.
Earlier, the AUPCTRE Branch Chairman, Comrade Saidu Daniel Hyet, congratulated Gisaor on his appointment as Executive Director, Housing Finance and Accounts, FHA.
Hyet explained that the delegation visited the Executive Director to formally identify with him and welcome him as he settled into his new responsibilities at the Authority.
He commended Gisaor for his accessibility and cordial disposition towards staff, assuring him of the union’s support and cooperation.
The union leader also pledged the readiness of AUPCTRE to work with the Executive Director and other members of the management team towards the effective administration and progress of the FHA.
In his remarks, the AUPCTRE Secretary, Comrade Ofem Etowa, expressed appreciation for Gisaor’s appointment, describing him as an effective executive director.
Etowa prayed for wisdom, strength, good health and the requisite understanding for Gisaor to discharge his responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
