Aisowieren: APC Members Who Laboured For Party Must Be Rewarded As Okpebholo’s Inclusive Governance Advances SHINE Agenda

The Edo State Representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt. Hon. Patrick Aisowieren, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who worked tirelessly for the party are adequately recognised and rewarded.

Aisowieren, an APC chieftain in Edo State, made the declaration on Monday in Benin City while speaking on party affairs and his responsibilities as a member of the NDDC Board.

He stressed that the sacrifices and contributions of party faithful at the grassroots must translate into meaningful opportunities, appointments and benefits under an APC-led government.

“My everyday political concern is to ensure that those who laboured for APC, who stood in the rain and sun, who mobilised votes at the grassroots, are adequately rewarded,” Aisowieren said.

The NDDC Board member commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for what he described as his efforts to expand the benefits of governance and ensure that different categories of party members are carried along.

According to him, the governor’s inclusive approach has renewed the confidence of APC members while strengthening the implementation of the administration’s SHINE agenda for the overall development of Edo State.

“We are in government, and we are looking inward. The ward chairmen, women leaders, youths who moved from polling unit to polling unit are now remembered,” he stated.

Aisowieren’s position has been welcomed by some APC stakeholders in the state, who described it as an important step towards recognising the contributions of grassroots party members.

A party chieftain in Benin City said the growing emphasis on inclusiveness would boost morale among loyal party members who contributed to the APC’s electoral successes.

“We are happy that someone at the federal board level is speaking for us. We believe this is opening doors for our people,” the stakeholder said.

Beyond party affairs, Aisowieren reaffirmed his determination to use his position on the NDDC Board to attract meaningful development to Edo State, particularly communities within the Niger Delta region.

He said attention would be given to projects capable of improving infrastructure and living conditions in riverine and oil-producing communities, while stressing the importance of transparency and broad stakeholder participation in the implementation of NDDC interventions.

The Edo representative also urged APC leaders and members across the state to remain united and continue supporting the government’s development efforts.

He maintained that rewarding party loyalty must go hand in hand with delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people.

“As we push for reward for our members, we must also deliver for the people of the Niger Delta. That is the only way APC will remain strong and win again,” he concluded.
