2027: Why Ovia People Prefer Aiguobarueghian For House Of Representatives — Supporters
Supporters of Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian have declared that his pedigree, legislative experience, grassroots accessibility and commitment to community development are driving growing support for his bid to represent Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.
The supporters, under the aegis of CIA Media, said the people of Ovia North East and Ovia South West are looking for a representative who can combine legislative experience with effective grassroots engagement and purposeful representation.
According to the group, Aiguobarueghian's experience as a member of the Edo State House of Assembly has given him a strong understanding of lawmaking, legislative oversight and constituency representation.
They argued that his legislative background would enable him to effectively engage with federal institutions and advocate for projects and programmes capable of addressing the developmental needs of Ovia Federal Constituency.
The group also highlighted what it described as Aiguobarueghian's grassroots connection and accessibility, noting that his engagements with communities across Ovia have strengthened his relationship with residents.
“Majority of Ovia people prefer him because he is one of us,” the group said, while citing educational support, healthcare outreaches, youth empowerment and skills-development initiatives as some of the areas through which he has connected with constituents.
CIA Media further said Ovia Federal Constituency requires stronger advocacy for federal infrastructure, employment opportunities, healthcare, education and support for small and medium-scale businesses.
The supporters expressed confidence that Aiguobarueghian possesses the legislative experience, political network and capacity to attract greater federal attention and development to the constituency if elected.
They also described him as a potential “vocal voice” for Ovia at the National Assembly, saying the constituency needs a representative who would vigorously advocate for its interests and push for greater inclusion in federal development programmes and budgetary allocations.
“Ovia people are not looking for noise. They are looking for results. That is why the majority of our people prefer Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian's representation,” the group stated.
The group consequently called on voters across Ovia Federal Constituency to support Aiguobarueghian's 2027 ambition, describing him as a candidate capable of providing experienced, accessible and progressive representation.
Aiguobarueghian is seeking election to the House of Representatives for Ovia Federal Constituency under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
