2027: JUAofAfrica Urges Aniocha South To Prioritise Substance, Character, Capacity Over Political Profiling
The Delta State House of Assembly candidate for Aniocha South Constituency under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Jeffrey Ugochukwu Adigwe, popularly known as JUAofAfrica, has called on voters to look beyond political affiliations and consider the character, capacity, experience and commitment of candidates ahead of the 2027 election.
Adigwe said joining a political party early or changing political allegiance should not, on its own, be regarded as evidence of exceptional leadership, stressing that genuine leadership is built through service, hard work, integrity, competence and measurable impact.
According to him, political office should not be pursued merely for personal recognition, but should be viewed as an opportunity to serve communities and contribute to lasting development.
He therefore urged the people of Aniocha South to carefully examine the substance behind every political aspiration and ask important questions about what each candidate can realistically contribute to the constituency.
Adigwe said his own aspiration is rooted in a desire to provide purposeful and people-centred representation, rather than simply becoming another name on the political landscape.
He described himself as a community-minded individual whose understanding of leadership has been shaped by responsibilities at the family and community levels, as well as his interaction with people at the grassroots.
The NDC candidate said the time had come for Aniocha South to move beyond political rhetoric and concentrate on practical ideas capable of improving the lives of residents.
His vision, as outlined in previous engagements, places emphasis on youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, entrepreneurship, support for local businesses and inclusive community development.
He has also consistently advocated transparency and accountability in constituency representation, including meaningful engagement with traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, women, farmers, professionals and other stakeholders.
Adigwe said effective representation should involve listening to the people, identifying their priorities and working through the appropriate legislative and governmental channels to pursue solutions.
He further stressed that sustainable empowerment should go beyond temporary handouts, advocating instead for initiatives that build skills, create economic opportunities and enable young people and other residents to become productive contributors to the local economy.
Under the JUA Movement, Adigwe said the emphasis would remain on moving from political rhetoric to purposeful engagement and from promises to measurable efforts towards community development.
He urged residents to participate actively in the democratic process and assess candidates on issues that directly affect the future of Aniocha South.
“The era of trial and error is behind us; the age of empty promises is over,” Adigwe said, calling for greater attention to competence, character, accountability and genuine commitment to public service.
He maintained that the future of Aniocha South should not be determined solely by political labels, but by the collective desire of its people for responsible representation and sustainable progress.
Adigwe called on residents to join the conversation about the future of the constituency, stressing that building a stronger Aniocha South requires the participation of everyone.
“Together, we can make Aniocha South great again under purposeful leadership,” he stated.
