2027: Capability, Experience Should Guide Choice Of Ovia Federal Representative — Aiguobarueghian
As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, stakeholders in Ovia Federal Constituency have been urged to make experience, capability, accessibility and commitment key considerations in choosing their next representative at the National Assembly.
The call was contained in a statement highlighting the importance of effective representation and the need for a federal lawmaker who understands the legislative process and the concerns of constituents.
The statement noted that Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian’s experience in the Edo State House of Assembly provides him with legislative exposure that could be relevant to the demands of representing Ovia at the federal level.
According to the statement, effective representation goes beyond occupying a political office, stressing that a representative must understand legislative processes, engage constituents and effectively present their concerns before relevant authorities in Abuja.
It identified youth employment and opportunities, agricultural support, business development, infrastructure, improved roads and the general welfare of families and communities among issues requiring attention in Ovia.
