Odiase Celebrates Idahosa At 46, Describes Edo Deputy Governor As Trusted Ally

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Orhionmwon South Constituency in the forthcoming Edo State House of Assembly election, Amb. Etinosa Odiase, has felicitated the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, on his 46th birthday, describing him as a distinguished statesman, trusted ally and exemplary leader.

In a goodwill message issued to mark the occasion, Odiase joined family members, friends, political associates and admirers of the Deputy Governor in celebrating his contributions to public service and the development of Edo State.

Odiase described Idahosa's life and political career as an example of dedication, selfless service and commitment to the advancement of the people, noting that his leadership experience continues to inspire younger politicians and residents across the state.

According to him, Idahosa's years in public service have demonstrated resilience, capacity and a strong passion for the progress of Edo State and Nigeria.

“Your life has remained a shining example of selfless service, dedication and firm commitment to the growth and development of Edo State and Nigeria at large. Over the years, your wisdom and leadership have continued to inspire generations,” Odiase said.

The Orhionmwon South APC candidate further highlighted Idahosa's political trajectory, particularly his service as a member of the House of Representatives representing Ovia North-East/Ovia South-West Federal Constituency before his emergence as Deputy Governor of Edo State.

Idahosa was elected to the House of Representatives in 2019 and re-elected in 2023 before leaving the National Assembly to assume office as Deputy Governor on November 12, 2024. He currently serves alongside Governor Monday Okpebholo under the APC administration.

Odiase said the Deputy Governor's experience across different levels of public service had positioned him as a valuable political leader whose contributions would continue to shape the development of the state.

“Your exceptional journey in public service as a former Member of the House of Representatives and the Deputy Governor of Edo State stands as an attestation to your resilience, capacity and passion for the progress of our people.

“Through every office you have held, you have left indelible marks of excellence, strengthening democratic values and contributing immensely to the political and socio-economic advancement of our dear state,” he added.

Odiase, who emerged as the APC candidate for Orhionmwon South in the 2026 House of Assembly primary, defeating incumbent Hon. Bright Iyamu, said Idahosa's leadership and experience remained a source of inspiration to him and other members of the party.

He prayed for continued good health, wisdom, peace and fulfilment for the Deputy Governor, while expressing hope that his wealth of experience would continue to contribute to the progress of Edo State and the nation.
