NDC Youth Wing Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation In Kogi, Urges Massive Voter Registration Ahead Of General Elections
The National Youth Wing Coordinator of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Ajodo Onuh, on Wednesday led a high-powered delegation on a grassroots mobilisation tour to Oganenigwu and Iyale Wards in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, as part of efforts to strengthen the party's structure and prepare for the forthcoming general elections.
The delegation included the NDC Chairman of Dekina Local Government Area and the Forum Chairman, who joined the National Youth Coordinator in engaging party stakeholders, ward executives, and supporters during the strategic mobilisation visit.
Addressing party faithful, Hon. Ajodo Onuh expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Oganenigwu and Iyale Wards for their impressive turnout, warm reception, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
He commended the ward executives for their dedication and tireless efforts in building the party at the grassroots, describing them as the backbone of the NDC's growing strength across Dekina Local Government Area.
The National Youth Coordinator urged party members to begin preparations for an extensive door-to-door campaign once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially permits electioneering activities, emphasizing that direct engagement with voters would be critical to the party's success in the next general elections.
Hon. Onuh also assured the ward leadership and party members of the National Youth Wing's continuous support whenever needed, reaffirming the leadership's commitment to empowering grassroots structures across the country.
He further called on party faithful to intensify public sensitisation on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, stressing that obtaining a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) remains the most effective tool for citizens to democratically shape the future of the country.
According to him, increased participation in the voter registration exercise will strengthen the electorate's voice and position the NDC for greater electoral success.
In his remarks, the NDC Chairman of Dekina Local Government Area encouraged members to remain united, focused, and committed to the tasks ahead. He urged party supporters not to be distracted but to continue working collectively to expand the party's presence across all wards in the local government.
The mobilisation visit forms part of the NDC's broader strategy to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures, and build momentum ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
