NDC National Youth Wing Visits National Organizing Sec, Unveils Nationwide Mobilisation Strategy For 2027
The National Youth Wing Executive of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), led by the National Coordinator, Hon. Ajodo Onuh, has paid a courtesy visit to the National Organizing Secretary of the party at the NDC National Secretariat.
The visit formed part of efforts by the Youth Wing to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, expand the party’s membership base and position the NDC for a strong performance in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Ajodo Onuh said the Youth Wing was committed to mobilising young Nigerians across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to join the party and actively participate in its political activities.
He noted that the mobilisation drive would focus not only on growing the party’s membership but also on ensuring that the NDC’s presidential candidate and other candidates receive strong support at the polls in 2027.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the need for greater synergy between the youth and elder leadership of the party. Participants stressed that stronger collaboration between the two groups would promote unity, enhance grassroots engagement and contribute to the overall growth and electoral success of the NDC.
Emphasis was equally placed on developing new strategies to promote the party beyond its current reach, particularly through sustained engagement with young people, community mobilisation and lawful grassroots political activities.
The NDC Lagos State governorship candidate, His Excellency Funso Doherty, and a Senate candidate from Zamfara State, who were present at the meeting, encouraged the Youth Wing to intensify its mobilisation efforts and operate within the confines of the law to secure victory for the party and its candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Responding, the National Organizing Secretary reaffirmed the party’s support for the Youth Wing’s mobilisation initiatives. He particularly expressed support for the forthcoming nationwide 2 Million March, which is expected to form part of the Youth Wing’s broader campaign to expand the party’s visibility and grassroots presence across the country.
The meeting underscored the determination of the NDC Youth Wing to play a central role in building a stronger political structure ahead of the 2027 general elections, while promoting unity, lawful political participation and cooperation between the party’s youth and elder leadership.
