Izzi LGA Mega Rally: Mammoth Crowd Demonstrates Support For APC – Nwedu

Hon. Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue Service (EBSIRS), has described the massive turnout at the All Progressives Congress (APC) mega rally and grand finale for the 2026 Ebonyi State Local Government Area elections in Izzi Local Government Area as a strong demonstration of support for the party and the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

Nwedu, in a statement following the rally, said the large crowd at the event reflected what he described as the growing acceptance of the APC across Izzi LGA and Ebonyi State.

According to him, the turnout demonstrated the enthusiasm of residents for the APC and confidence in the development agenda of Governor Nwifuru, particularly the People’s Charter of Needs.

He said the administration's focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, human capital development, agriculture, workers' welfare, and grassroots development has continued to strengthen the relationship between the government and the people.

Nwedu noted that the growing political support for the APC in Izzi, in his assessment, reflects residents' desire for continuity, stability, and sustained development.

He described the mega rally as a significant political gathering that brought together party leaders, supporters, stakeholders, women, youths, and other residents in a show of solidarity ahead of the local government elections.

Nwedu also congratulated the APC chairmanship candidate for Izzi LGA, Hon. Mrs. Helen Aduga, describing her as a capable and experienced candidate with the capacity to provide purposeful leadership at the grassroots.
He expressed confidence that an APC-led administration at the local government level would complement the development initiatives of Governor Nwifuru and strengthen the delivery of government programmes to communities.

According to Nwedu, the enthusiasm witnessed at the rally demonstrates that the People's Charter of Needs has become an important part of the political conversation in Ebonyi State.

He urged APC supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to issue-based campaigns as the state approaches the local government elections.

Nwedu further called on eligible voters to participate actively in the electoral process and exercise their civic responsibility peacefully.

He congratulated the people of Izzi LGA for what he described as an impressive show of political participation and wished Hon. Mrs. Helen Aduga success in the forthcoming election.
