The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has formally handed over his responsibilities at the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) following his appointment to a new federal position at the Federal Housing Authority.
Dr. Gisaor, who served as Secretary of BSIEC, officially handed over the affairs of his office and presented his handover notes, outlining the activities, achievements and challenges recorded during his tenure.
In the handover document, the outgoing Secretary disclosed that all outstanding staff promotions had been effected during his tenure, while all ad-hoc personnel engaged for the most recent local government elections were fully paid.
He also revealed that he had facilitated the transfer of one staff member of the Commission to the Federal Housing Authority, describing the development as part of his commitment to creating career opportunities and advancing the welfare of staff.
Dr. Gisaor charged the management and staff of BSIEC to remain united, dedicated and committed to their responsibilities, stressing that teamwork and professionalism were essential to achieving greater success.
He further pledged that his new office at the Federal Housing Authority would operate an open-door policy, assuring colleagues and stakeholders of his continued accessibility and willingness to support them.
Among the challenges highlighted in his handover notes were the need for the conversion of casual staff to permanent employees and the loss of a member of the Commission’s Board, among other issues requiring attention.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of BSIEC, Hon. Richard Terlumun Tombowua, who was represented by the Commissioner in charge of Works and Transport, Hon. Theodore Uchi, thanked God for Dr. Gisaor’s life and his contributions to the Commission.

Also speaking, the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) of the Commission, Dr. Samuel Abounya Akpoghoul, congratulated Dr. Gisaor on his appointment to the Federal Housing Authority.
Dr. Akpoghoul prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, prosperity and success for the outgoing Secretary as he begins his new responsibilities at the federal level.
