Edo Women Mobilisers Intensify Grassroots Campaign To Deliver 2.5 Million Votes For Tinubu In 2027

Women mobilisers across Edo State have intensified grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at securing a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The mobilisation drive is being led by the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Women Mobilisation, Hon. Lady Omorede Osifo; Edo South Senatorial Women Mobilisation Coordinator, Hon. Itohan Osahon; and Edo Central Senatorial Women Mobilisation Coordinator, Hon. (Mrs.) Omonigho Blessing Azilomen.

The women leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Governor Monday Okpebholo's target of delivering 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu in Edo State in the 2027 presidential election.

They said the mobilisation strategy would focus on strengthening women's structures across the three senatorial districts and extending the campaign to local government areas, wards and polling units.

According to them, the objective is to deepen grassroots engagement, sensitise women on the importance of participating in the electoral process and encourage eligible citizens to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the 2027 elections.

The women leaders stressed that effective grassroots mobilisation, unity and active participation would be critical to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that women constitute a significant force capable of influencing electoral outcomes.

They also commended Governor Okpebholo for what they described as his commitment to women's empowerment and inclusive governance through the administration's SHINE Agenda.

The leaders said the agenda had continued to create opportunities and support for women, youths and other vulnerable groups across the state.

They expressed confidence that with sustained mobilisation, unity and commitment, Edo women would play a decisive role in securing victory for President Tinubu in the 2027 election.

They called on women across the state to remain united, participate actively in the democratic process and work collectively towards achieving the set electoral target.

“Together, Edo Women Will Make the Difference. Together, We Will Deliver Victory.”
