Broxburn Athletic Sign Nigerian-Descent Striker Prince

Broxburn Athletic have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of 20-year-old striker Bright Osemudiamen Prince Okosun, adding an exciting young forward with football experience spanning Spain, Germany and Scotland.

Standing at 6ft 5in, Bright combines his imposing physical presence with pace, movement, aerial ability and strength, offering Broxburn a versatile attacking option. His ability to combine his size with speed has been one of the standout features of his development.

Born in Spain in October 2005 and of Nigerian descent, Bright began his football journey in the Spanish system, with his youth development including spells with Yuncos CD and Getafe CF. He later continued his development in Germany, where he featured within the youth structures of VfR Fischeln, Fortuna Düsseldorf and KFC Uerdingen 05.

His move to Scotland marked another important stage in his football education.

Bright joined the Airdrieonians Academy in 2022, where he quickly demonstrated his goalscoring ability. As an under-18 player, he scored 11 goals in 13 appearances, performances that helped earn him an opportunity within the senior setup at just 17.

He subsequently gained senior experience with Airdrieonians, East Stirlingshire, Albion Rovers and Caledonian Braves, developing his game against the physical demands of senior Scottish football.

At Caledonian Braves, the young striker was noted for his combination of strength, movement and goalscoring instinct. Bright has also identified his aerial threat, link-up play and ability to score goals as key qualities he brings to the pitch.

His physical profile makes him an intriguing addition to Broxburn's attacking ranks. While his 6ft 5in frame gives him an advantage in aerial contests and hold-up play, his pace allows him to attack spaces behind defensive lines and operate effectively in the channels.

His versatility means he can contribute not only as a goalscorer but also by holding up the ball, linking with teammates and creating opportunities through intelligent movement.

There is also an interesting connection between Bright and his new club. In February 2025, while representing Albion Rovers, he played a major role in a 5–0 victory over Broxburn, scoring twice and providing two assists, according to the club's announcement surrounding his move.

Now, the player who once caused problems for Broxburn's defence has become part of the club's attacking plans.

Bright's journey also carries an important Nigerian connection. Although born in Spain and developed through football systems in Spain, Germany and Scotland, he is of Nigerian heritage, adding another dimension to his increasingly international football story.

Away from the pitch, Bright is also pursuing academic ambitions, with reports indicating that he is studying Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Balancing football development with a demanding academic discipline further highlights his ambition and commitment beyond the game.

With experience across three European football environments, senior Scottish football under his belt and significant room for further development, Bright arrives at Broxburn Athletic as a promising young striker with considerable potential.

And perhaps fittingly, Broxburn's playful welcome captures the mood surrounding his arrival:

“We already have an Errol… so why not a Prince?”

The Prince has arrived at Albyn Park — and Broxburn will be hoping he can turn his considerable potential into goals, assists and memorable performances in the seasons ahead.

Welcome to Broxburn Athletic, Bright Prince. 👑🔴⚪️
