A grassroots women mobiliser and prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 12, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, Lady Bridget Tenebe, has congratulated six newly inaugurated Executive Chairmen of local government councils in Edo North on their successful assumption of office.

The council chairmen are Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Akiotu Ekpeson of Etsako East, Hon. Romeo Alaoye Omoike of Etsako West, Hon. Robert Olumole Akande of Akoko-Edo, Hon. Ernest Oyaole Aitalegbe of Owan East, Dame Vera Sadoh of Etsako Central, and Hon. Enahoro Aikpokpo of Owan West.

In a congratulatory message, Tenebe described their emergence and inauguration as a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by the people of their respective local government areas.

She said their assumption of office should be regarded not merely as a political victory but as a fresh call to service, responsibility and grassroots development.

According to her, the people of Edo North are looking forward to seeing the new council administrations translate their campaign promises into tangible projects and programmes that will improve the lives of residents.

Tenebe urged the chairmen to work closely with community leaders, traditional institutions, women, youths and other stakeholders to identify and address the most pressing needs of their respective communities.

She also called on the new council bosses to support the SHINE Agenda of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, by aligning their policies and programmes with the administration's development vision and ensuring that the benefits of government reach the grassroots.

The APC women mobiliser stressed that good governance must be people-centred, adding that the welfare, security and economic wellbeing of residents should remain central to policy formulation and decision-making at the local government level.

She expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated chairmen would justify the mandate given to them by delivering responsive, transparent and accountable leadership.

Tenebe further charged them to strengthen the structures of the APC in their respective local government areas and consolidate the party's support base ahead of the 2027 general elections, while ensuring that governance remains their primary responsibility.

She noted that effective grassroots administration would not only improve the fortunes of the people but also strengthen public confidence in the party and its leadership.

Tenebe wished the six council chairmen successful and impactful tenures, urging them to remain accessible to the people and leave behind legacies of meaningful development.
