NDC Youth Wing Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation, Calls For Greater Youth Participation
In a press statement issued by his office, Onuh described the NDC Youth Wing as a strategic platform established with a clear vision to mobilise young Nigerians and strengthen the party's presence across the country.
According to him, the youth wing is actively building functional party structures at the state, local government, ward, and polling unit levels, while identifying emerging leaders and encouraging greater youth participation in the political process.
He noted that as a relatively young political party, the NDC recognises the importance of laying a solid foundation through effective grassroots organisation, adding that the youth wing is committed to bringing the party closer to the people.
"The NDC Youth Wing was not created by chance. It was established with a clear vision and purpose to help build a strong, united, and well-organised political party from the grassroots," he stated.
Onuh emphasised that the youth wing is not in competition with any organ of the party but serves as a complementary structure that provides the energy, innovation, and grassroots network required to advance the party's objectives.
He called on young Nigerians who share the ideals of the NDC to register with the party, participate actively in its programmes, support youth coordinators at all levels, and contribute to strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
The National Youth Wing Coordinator expressed confidence that a united and committed youth population would play a decisive role in shaping the future of the NDC.
He maintained that the strength of the party's future would depend largely on the structures being built today, urging members to remain focused on the collective goal of building a formidable political platform capable of delivering credible leadership for Nigeria.
Onuh concluded by expressing optimism that through unity, dedication, and sustained grassroots mobilisation, the NDC would continue to grow into a stronger political force, while empowering young people to play meaningful roles in the nation's democratic development.
