Abuja To Host National Leaders And Youth Stakeholders Conference 2026 On Ethical Leadership, Nation Building
Preparations are in top gear for the National Leaders and Youth Stakeholders Conference (NLYSC) 2026, a high-level national gathering designed to promote ethical leadership, youth development, innovation, enterprise, and sustainable peace in Nigeria.
The conference is scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at The Rotunda Hall, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maitama, Abuja, with the green carpet commencing at 9:00 a.m.
A key highlight of the event will be the participation of First Baba Isa, popularly known as FBI, who will serve as the Special Guest and Speaker. Barr. Isa is the Principal Consultant and Head of Chambers of FBI Legal and is widely recognised for his contributions to the legal profession and public service.
Organisers said the conference will bring together statesmen, policymakers, traditional and religious leaders, development partners, captains of industry, academics, civil society organisations, and outstanding young leaders from across the country to deliberate on practical strategies for strengthening leadership, improving governance, promoting innovation, and fostering national unity.
According to the organisers, the event is intended to go beyond discussions by encouraging meaningful collaboration and collective responsibility in building stronger institutions and preparing a new generation of leaders capable of driving sustainable development in Nigeria and across Africa.
They noted that the conference seeks to inspire hope, influence policy conversations, and empower young people with the values of integrity, competence, and visionary leadership.
Quoting the late South African statesman Nelson Mandela, the organisers reiterated that "The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow," stressing that the future of the nation depends on leaders who deliberately invest in the next generation.
