Uzodimma Celebrates Fathers, Commends Their Role In Nation Building

Governor Hope Uzodimma has extended warm felicitations to fathers in Imo State and across Nigeria as the world marks the 2026 Father’s Day.

In a message commemorating the occasion, the governor described fatherhood as a noble responsibility central to building, nurturing, and sustaining society. He noted that fathers, as heads of families, have continued to demonstrate dedication, responsibility, and commitment in shaping a more stable and progressive society.

Uzodimma praised the invaluable role fathers play in instilling values that strengthen both the family unit and the nation at large. He emphasized that their contributions remain indispensable to national development.

The governor also assured that his administration’s reforms, policies, and programmes are geared towards driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for citizens. According to him, these efforts are designed to complement the enduring contributions of fathers in building the society everyone desires.
