Nwifuru’s Visit To Tinubu Reflects Ebonyi’s Unity, Development Agenda

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strategic collaboration with the Federal Government following his recent visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The visit, which also featured members of the Ebonyi caucus in the National Assembly, has been described as a demonstration of unity, political stability, and a shared commitment to advancing the interests of the state under the Renewed Hope administration.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Leo Ekene Oketa, Governor Nwifuru remains focused on sustaining cordial relations with the Presidency in order to attract greater federal presence, infrastructural development, and economic opportunities to Ebonyi State.

The statement noted that development thrives in an atmosphere of cooperation, strategic engagement, and political stability, stressing that the governor’s approach continues to position the state favourably within the national development framework.

It further stated that the presence of Ebonyi federal lawmakers during the visit underscored the unity of purpose among the political leadership of the state, especially at a time when many states are grappling with internal political divisions.

“Ebonyi continues to project coordination, maturity, and collective leadership focused on the interests of the people rather than personal ambitions,” the statement said.

The statement also described Governor Nwifuru as a bridge-builder and consensus leader within the All Progressives Congress, noting that his ability to maintain political stability at home while sustaining strong ties with the Presidency has continued to attract national attention and confidence towards Ebonyi State.

It added that the increasing federal attention and ongoing infrastructural expansion across the state are evidence of the gains of constructive engagement with the centre.

The governor’s visit to President Tinubu, the statement added, represents another strategic move aimed at securing stronger partnerships, greater opportunities, and sustainable development for the people of Ebonyi State.

The statement concluded that Ebonyi is steadily taking its place in Nigeria’s development conversation under the pragmatic and people-oriented leadership of Governor Nwifuru.
