Nwifuru's Free CNG Bus Initiative Continues to Ease Transportation Burden on Workers, Students — Aide

Governor Francis Nwifuru's administration has again been commended for its people-oriented policies, particularly the provision of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses for the free transportation of civil servants and students across Ebonyi State.

According to Dr. Boniface Nwankwo, Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation, the CNG buses were procured by Governor Nwifuru shortly after assuming office as part of deliberate efforts to cushion the effects of transportation costs on workers and students.

Dr. Nwankwo noted that the initiative has continued to provide relief to thousands of beneficiaries who commute daily to their places of work and study without incurring transportation expenses.

He described the governor as "a humanist par excellence," whose administration has consistently prioritized the welfare of the people through impactful and sustainable policies.
The governor's aide further stated that the free transportation scheme remains one of the numerous social intervention programmes introduced by the Nwifuru administration to improve the living standards of Ebonyi residents.

He emphasized that the availability of the CNG buses demonstrates the governor's commitment to inclusive governance and the well-being of citizens, adding that the initiative has significantly reduced the financial burden on many families.

"Governor Francis Nwifuru has continued to distinguish himself as a compassionate leader whose policies are tailored towards improving the lives of ordinary people. Ebonyi State is indeed blessed to have him at the helm of affairs," Dr. Nwankwo stated.

The free CNG bus programme has continued to attract commendation from residents who regard it as a practical response to prevailing economic challenges and a testament to the administration's commitment to people-centred governance.
