Nwifuru Orders Reinstatement Of Suspended Ebonyi Teacher

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has directed the immediate lifting of the suspension placed on Mr. Iloke Hyacinth of Community Primary School (CPS) Obulechi Umoru Oriuzor in Ezza North Local Government Area.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Leo Ekene Oketa, following widespread reports and discussions across social media platforms concerning the teacher’s suspension.

According to the statement, the state government reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of teachers, pupils, and the continuous improvement of learning conditions in schools across Ebonyi State.

The government also disclosed that massive school building projects are already ongoing in the affected area, particularly at Community Primary School Unwuigboke and Community Primary School Unwuezeali, both located in Oriuzor community. The projects, it noted, form part of broader efforts aimed at strengthening educational infrastructure and creating a more conducive learning environment for pupils.

While acknowledging the infrastructural challenges facing some communities, the government stressed that deliberate efforts are being made to address them progressively across the state, noting that all developmental needs cannot be met simultaneously.

The administration further appreciated the concern expressed by citizens and media organisations over the matter and assured the public of its unwavering commitment to quality education and the wellbeing of the people of Ebonyi State.
