Diri: APC Leaders Submit Tinubu, Shettima Nomination Forms For 2027 Election

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has disclosed that members of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) attended the official submission ceremony of the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Diri made this known in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday following the event held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

According to the governor, Vice President Kashim Shettima formally submitted the forms on behalf of President Tinubu to the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, in the presence of members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
He noted that the submission was in line with the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as the APC’s schedule for the purchase and submission of forms for the 2027 general election.
The Bayelsa governor further stated that the ceremony underscored the readiness of the ruling party to ensure the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima in the 2027 polls.

“The brief ceremony underscored the preparedness of the APC in ensuring the re-election of Mr. President and that of the Vice President in the 2027 election,” Diri wrote on his Facebook page.

The event attracted APC governors, party chieftains and stakeholders from across the country.
