Fubara Urges Southern Monarchs To Strengthen Unity, Backs Tinubu’s Re-election

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has called on traditional rulers across Southern Nigeria to remain vigilant and committed to fostering regional unity and national cohesion.

The governor made the appeal while addressing participants at the Southern Traditional Rulers Council roundtable held at Galaxy La-Palm Royal Resort, GRA Phase II, Port Harcourt. He stressed the need for sustained collaboration among leaders to promote socio-cultural harmony and economic progress in the region and the country at large.
Fubara also expressed confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that Nigeria remains on a stable path under his administration. He cited ongoing economic reforms and major infrastructure initiatives, including the coastal road project, as indicators of progress, while acknowledging that challenges still persist.

Reinforcing his position, the governor underscored the importance of continuity in governance, remarking that “no one changes a winning team,” a statement widely interpreted as an endorsement of President Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the next electoral cycle.
He further encouraged the traditional rulers to engage in productive deliberations and wished them a successful outcome at the roundtable meeting.

The event brought together prominent monarchs from across the Southern region to discuss issues affecting their communities and explore strategies for enhancing unity and development.
