Nwifuru Prioritises Rural Development, Reaches The Forgotten, Neglected — Nwedu
Nwedu Abraham Nwedu, a member of the Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue (EBSIRS), has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his commitment to inclusive development and efforts to address the needs of rural dwellers across Ebonyi State.
Nwedu noted that reaching out to underserved communities and ensuring that the needs of rural residents receive attention reflect the philosophy of the People’s Charter of Needs, the development agenda of the Nwifuru administration.
According to him, leadership goes beyond making promises, as it requires deliberate efforts to touch lives, reach the grassroots and ensure that the benefits of governance extend to people irrespective of their location.
He described the governor’s focus on rural communities as an important reminder that every citizen deserves attention and consideration in the development process.
Nwedu maintained that inclusive governance should prioritise the concerns of people in rural areas, particularly those whose needs may otherwise receive limited attention, noting that meaningful development must be felt at the grassroots.
He further emphasised that the People’s Charter of Needs provides a framework for people-oriented governance by placing the needs and welfare of citizens at the centre of public service delivery.
The Board member expressed appreciation for the governor’s efforts towards improving the lives of Ebonyi residents, while encouraging sustained commitment to policies and initiatives that promote equitable development across the state.
He said continued attention to rural communities would reinforce public confidence in governance and strengthen the connection between the government and the people.
The commendation aligns with the message that effective leadership should be measured not only by projects and policies but also by the positive difference they make in the lives of ordinary citizens.
As the Nwifuru administration continues to pursue its development agenda, the call for inclusive governance remains significant to ensuring that communities across Ebonyi State are carried along.
For Nwedu, the message is clear: no community should be forgotten, and no citizen should be left behind in the pursuit of development.
