ISIWINA Computer Training Beneficiaries Appreciate Uhunmwode Chairman, Receive Starter Pack Promise

Beneficiaries of the ISIWINA Youth Free Computer Training Programme have paid a surprise appreciation visit to the Executive Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Imafidon, popularly known as ISIWINA, to express their gratitude for the opportunity to acquire digital skills.

During the unscheduled visit on Saturday, October 24, 2026, the beneficiaries shared encouraging testimonies about their learning experiences and progress midway through the training programme.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the council chairman for initiating the free computer training scheme, which is designed to equip young people with relevant digital skills and improve their prospects for employment and self-reliance.

In his response, an elated Imafidon commended the participants for their commitment, dedication and enthusiasm towards the programme.

He further assured them that each beneficiary would receive at least one starter pack upon successfully completing the training, a gesture aimed at supporting their transition from learning to practical application of the skills acquired.

The assurance underscores the administration's commitment to youth empowerment, digital literacy and the promotion of opportunities that can help young people become productive and economically independent.

The beneficiaries were led on the appreciation visit by the Special Adviser on Women Mobilisation and Social Development, Mrs. Anita Iyare.

The ISIWINA Youth Free Computer Training Programme forms part of the council chairman's efforts to invest in human capital development and equip beneficiaries with practical skills relevant to the demands of an increasingly technology-driven world.
