Gisaor Urges Local Government Legislators To Mobilise Grassroots Support For Tinubu, Alia
Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), has urged local government legislators across the country to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Gisaor made the call when the Leader of the Apa Local Government Area Legislative Council, Hon. Alhassan Emmanuel, paid him an unscheduled courtesy visit at his office in Abuja on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
He emphasised the strategic role of local government legislators in mobilising support at the grassroots, sensitising the electorate, shaping public opinion and engaging communities, particularly in rural areas.
According to him, sustained engagement with constituents remains essential to strengthening political participation and building grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The FHA executive director encouraged the legislators to maintain close contact with the people they represent, listen to their concerns and intensify community-level engagement as political activities gather momentum towards 2027.
Earlier, Emmanuel congratulated Gisaor on his appointment as Executive Director at the Federal Housing Authority, commending his efforts since assuming office.
The Apa legislative council leader also offered prayers for God's continued guidance, wisdom and strength for Gisaor, expressing hope that he would discharge his responsibilities creditably.
The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on leadership, political engagement and the importance of grassroots structures in the build-up to the 2027 general elections.
