Eseigbe Solidarity Movement Hails Edo APC Leadership For Endorsing Okpebholo For Second Term

The Eseigbe Solidarity Movement has commended the Edo State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for endorsing Governor Monday Okpebholo for a second term, describing the decision as a vote of confidence in his leadership and the developmental direction of his administration.

In a statement signed by the Director-General of Domestic Affairs, Hon. Idalu Unugbe, popularly known as SONATA, and made available to newsmen by the Eseigbe Media Team, the movement praised the state party leadership for demonstrating unity, strategic direction and commitment to strengthening the APC in Edo State.

The endorsement was announced by the Edo State APC Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, during the grand finale of the party’s grassroots mobilisation tour in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area.

The exercise followed a review of the governor’s performance and development projects across Edo South, Edo North and Edo Central Senatorial Districts.

The movement particularly commended Tenebe for his leadership and role in securing the endorsement, while also acknowledging the contributions of the APC Deputy Chairman in Edo State, Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh; the Edo Central Senatorial Leader, Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe (Rtd.); the state party secretary, Engr. Lawrence Okah; and other party leaders for their continued support for the governor and his administration.

According to the movement, the endorsement reflects the confidence the administration has inspired through its development initiatives, particularly in road infrastructure, education, healthcare and other critical sectors under the SHINE Agenda.

It noted that the grassroots mobilisation tour provided an opportunity to assess ongoing development efforts across the state while strengthening the relationship between the government, party leadership and the people.

The movement also praised Governor Okpebholo for his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, noting that his administration’s emphasis on infrastructure renewal, improved public services and grassroots development had strengthened the argument for continuity.

Reaffirming its support for the governor, the Eseigbe Solidarity Movement pledged to continue promoting the administration’s achievements and mobilising public support for the APC’s vision for Edo State.

It further urged party leaders, stakeholders and members to sustain the unity demonstrated during the mobilisation tour and remain committed to the party’s collective objectives as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

The movement maintained that sustained cooperation between the government and the party structure would be crucial to consolidating ongoing development initiatives and advancing the interests of the people of Edo State.
