EIHRO Condemns Attack On MC Pukuppine, Demands Thorough Police Investigation
The EduBrain International Human Rights Organization (EIHRO) has condemned the reported violent attack on popular entertainer, Osagie Idedia, popularly known as MC Pukuppine, calling on the Nigeria Police Force to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
The organisation described the reported attack as unacceptable, stressing that disagreements between individuals should never degenerate into violence, intimidation or any act capable of threatening human life and dignity.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and signed by its President/Director General, Barr. Collins Edu Abiodun, EIHRO said it was deeply concerned by reports that MC Pukuppine was attacked while returning home after performing at Wesley Hotel.
The organisation maintained that no disagreement could justify violence against another person, emphasising that every individual has the right to personal safety and protection under the law.
It therefore urged the police to undertake a comprehensive, impartial and professional investigation into the incident, identify the perpetrators, and ensure that anyone found culpable is arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
According to EIHRO, resorting to violence to settle disputes undermines the principles of justice, peaceful coexistence and respect for fundamental human rights, which are essential to a democratic society.
The organisation stressed that individuals must embrace dialogue and other lawful means of resolving conflicts rather than taking the law into their own hands.
"We may disagree, but we must never lose our humanity," the organisation stated, warning that disagreements should not be allowed to escalate into violence or violations of another person's fundamental rights.
EIHRO also expressed sympathy and solidarity with MC Pukuppine, wishing him a speedy and complete recovery from the injuries and pain reportedly sustained during the incident.
The human rights organisation further called on relevant authorities and security agencies to treat the matter with the seriousness it deserves and ensure that all circumstances surrounding the reported attack are thoroughly examined.
It noted that a credible investigation would help establish the facts of the incident, promote accountability and reinforce public confidence in the ability of law enforcement agencies to protect lives and uphold the rule of law.
Reaffirming its commitment to the protection of human dignity and fundamental human rights, EIHRO declared that violence must never be accepted as an alternative to dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution.
The organisation reiterated that justice, accountability and respect for the rights of others remain indispensable to building a peaceful society where individuals can pursue their lawful activities without fear of violence or intimidation.
